Tuesday Ridge!
This past Tuesday March 29th 2011
Momo, Younosuke and myself set out for a journey which lasted all day and ended in pouring rain.
As we played and rode up the mountain we made our final destination at 12:50pm.
First and most important after a long exhausting ride we at lunch at the top of the mountain.
It started to rain so we hid underneath the trees. ahhhahahhah a great lunch.
Our goal was to connect the top ridge line to our new trail and make a continuum for an adventurous DH.
We were successful as had a wonderful time but there is still tons and tons of work to smoothly connect the 2 trails.
As for now we are happy and full of joy after yesterdays ride!

cleaning day!
A super cool Sunday!
We spent 5 hours in the morning building and cleaning the upper part of the trail.
There is still tons more to the top but we were tired and hungry.
After a relaxing lunch we were all very tired but ended up with some cool shots!

Fooling Around
Today we've had a frosty night and a bright sunshiny Sunday! March has been extraordinarily dry this year and the riding is fun, but my Panasonic Lumix camera unexpectedly quit the job, so I've got very little footage. I hope you still like it!

Cinnamon Tea!
Friday was a cold windy afternoon.
As Younouske and I were climbing we had a light snow fall upon us.
The top of the mountain was bitter with a sharp chilling wind.
This morning this mountain was bright white with fresh powder.

Cherry Tea!
Wednesday afternoon on March 23, 2011
Momo and I met for some Bamboo Freeride and smooth cherry tea.
The night before it rained cats and dogs so, as the trail was drying there became this snot like
substance on the surface of the ground.
We were having trouble just walking up the steep trail.
We searched around and found some cool natural drops which made for some killer fun.
The weather here is looking a lot like spring with a nice crisp temperature.
This is one of my favorite seasons to ride.

The Spring Equinox
Saturday evening it started raining and stopped early Tuesday morning.
At 9am we gathered together for a 3 hour climb up to the top of Ajimi.
The trial was wet gooey and lots of fun!
We have entered spring here in Japan and the weather should warm up.
I enjoy the cold air but spring is really nice as well!

Serenity!
Sunday was a hot and humid day for march!
Today 3 days later its back down to snow like temperatures.
Sunday we spent all morning digging and cleaning and around 1:30 we finally got on our bikes.
No really knowing the situation here in Japan we set out with sense of uneasiness.
We pry for all who have suffered.
The situation is very scary at the moment and need a successful rebuilding of Japan!
Thank you for all your moral support and remember when free time calls!

Fresh Dirt
Last week end the German Cross Country Running Championships took place near my home. Today I wanted to find out whether the cross country running obstacles and my Grossman FDT are a good combination. The dirt mounds are next to a soccer field and I just hope the hills won't be removed.

Tuesday afternoon!
I raced home from my morning classes 4 hours at a local elementary school to meet Momo and Ogura at 1pm.
We planned on having a totally awesome FR day but unfortunately Momo ended up with 3 flats!
All pinch flats or snake bites.
We had a great day even though we had to fix his tires.
No one had a patch kit as it was a city ride but 2 guys had 2 tubes.
The 3 flat we were about an hour walk back to my house so I fixed his flat wish some string I usually carry with me!
I simply tie off both sides of the hole then tie them together to block the flow of air, it works like a charm and usually is a lot easier than a patch out on the trial!

Sunday Splash!
Last Sunday we had big mountain plans!
However as the weather turned bad our plans were diminished due to possible danger up on the steeps slopes in the pouring rain.
So, I suggested we just take it easy and play on the lower trial until lunch!
It turned out to be a killer ride!

Park Fun!
Saturday was beautiful day so, I took Jax and his buddy Itsuki out to a local park to practice riding!

RideOn Sunday!
Recently we have been struck with lots of bad weather on Sundays!
Yesterday, was the same!
Rain, rain, rain!
But our crew rode on!
We planned on going to the top or Hira FR mountain but with the rain it would be wet cold and dangerous as Hira is one of our steepest trails.
So, we started from the bottom and climbed just the last section which is a wide open zip road!
I was busy and have not finished the video yet but, Gumball has made a killer version!
