Manny,Great video!!!
The bike looks perfect for the kind of riding we do here in Japan.
The built in chain guide is awesome and the super fine attention to detail is superb.
I think this looks like a top notch FR do anything bike.
Whats the rear travel and recommended fork travel?
Over all a very strong looking smooth bike!

Niko

Yes brother! Niko is right! Dreamy bike! Travel must be 160mm front and rear right? A Float r 36 or a Van 36 R on the front would make wonders!

I'm glad you like it, brothers! Rear Travel can be 160mm or 170mm, so I think 160mm to 180mm at the front would be fine. I can't wait for my first test ride. I'm not sure whether I should opt for the Fanes Enduro or wait for the already projected Fanes All Mountain version with a little less travel and weight. RideOn!!!

Nooooo! Go for the Enduro version brother! It's still light enough to pedal and you get to have a very cool freeride bike!

I see your point Manny!
I too am with Ricardo, the longer travel enduro would be perfect for me,160-170 wow very nice!
I rode the bottlerocket for 4 years with 140mm which feels like alot more but 160-170 would be super plush!

You have to consider where and what you ride the most.
the shorter lighter version would suit your riding and trails more?
Its up to you brother!
But Ricardo is right the longer travel bike will fell bigger but still peddle like a dream!
The bike has a very nice balance and looks super fun!
Im very intrigued at this bike.
Like I said the build quality is stupendous!
RidEOn!

Over the years Juergen Schlender of Alutech has learned to weld and build frames on a very high level and Stefan Stark, who worked for a German bike company called Votec before, helped him to design the Fanes frame. Either way, an Alutech Fanes would be placed between my Stevens Glide and my Alutech Wildsau, the Fanes Enduro would be closer to the Wildsau and the Fanes All Mountain could probably replace the Stevens Glide. I use the Glide a lot more than I use the Wildsau, so I think an all-mountain Fanes would be more reasonable. Anyway, I didn't buy any bike in 2010 and I'm not sure if I will in 2011. Let's wait and see, brothers.
