We had to drive for three hours to get to the Nicolai factory, so we looked for something else to do in the vicinity. Having never been at the Deister mountains, we rode up to the highest elevation, a mountain called Broehn (405m), and climbed the Annaturm (Anna's Tower) to enjoy the view over rolling hills and endless forest.

There was a moderate downhill to exercise our riding technique and then there was the uphill to give us strength, all in all a nice loop of two hours. Birgit and I were at the Deister mountains for the first time and there is a lot left to be discovered. This singletrail is on the right side of the main dirtroad, on the left side there are serious freeride and downhill trails for big bikes.
