On Saturday Birgit and I decided to go to Luebbrechtsen and visit Nicolai. A guided factory tour and a trials show by Gates Nicolai Team rider Marco Hoesel - six times world champion - were part of the open house days. That was great fun! Later in the day we went for a ride in the Deister mountains.

Did you get to choose a bike to go with?
Nicolai has one of the fullest lines of bikes with some of the most advanced technology. I have been a true fan for years. I have yet to see one in person though so, this video or videos were spectacular.
When I first got my Bottlerocket 6 years ago now, I was really into the helius AFR!

Oh yeah, the Helius family is still alive and going strong. Well, we could talk about Nicolai bikes for hours, couldn't we?
The ride Birgit and I took had nothing to do with Nicolai bikes, only the Deister mountains are not far from the factory, so there was an opportunity to do something different on the same day.
