Death of a Yellow Frame

I witnessed the final ride and the last day of the yellow Guess bike I had given to Gunnar one year ago. The frame cracked at the damper mount on the down tube. After eleven years the Guess USA 2001 found a decent end. I am glad I saw the crack when I took a closer look at the frame. Gunnar's new bike is a Specialized Big Hit from 2009, which will help him to become a better freerider and downhiller.

It's so sad to witness the death of a frame Manny...can't the frame be welded?
At least Gunnar was "forced" too move to a higher speced bike, hahahaha!

It's no use welding an eleven year old aluminium frame just to wait for the next crack. I said to Gunnar he should put it on the wall as number one.

The Guess had some good times.
Older frames under lots of load will take their toll.
Im happy to see he is on a top notch bike.
I would love to try a big hit!

RideOn to Gunner!

Hahaha, the music was made in 2001 by a band of which Birgit's brother Erik was the drummer.
