The Marin and the Penmachno Trails

During our week in North Wales we stayed at Betws-y-Coed, right between the Penmachno trail and the Marin, which was the first purpose-built MTB trail in the UK. Having ridden the complete Marin trail in 2009 we knew our way around and could take a pick of the best sections this time. The Penmachno was a challenge we still had to face, so we spent six hours there enjoying the singletrack and the scenery.

By comparison the Penmachno has got the least flow of the North Wales trails I know. It's a tough one.

Manny single track heaven.
Must have been pure fun riding these trails.
I don't have trials like this here in Japan and would be lovely to have some really nice AM trials.
RideOn and truly happy trails!

In Wales trail building was seen as an opportunity to create jobs in remote areas, that's why there is so much lovely single track.
Happy trails and RideOn!
