I agree what a beautiful day in the snow!
Must be great fun living in a snowy paradise!
Here in Japan we have had snow all week but just enough to stick on the ground and melt in morning!
Nothing but wet gooeyness!
Great video brother!

After two days of thawing and one frosty winter night the snow was very icy and hard, you could only ride where the ground and the snow (or ice) were fairly even. As you could see I was very careful and managed to stay on my bike for three quarters of an hour without slipping or falling.

Yes brother, i've noticed...but can you compare it like riding in mud conditions? Or when you ride that hard wet dirt trails?

Soft and wet snow can be compared to mud, ice can be compared to very slippery rock and dry powder is a little bit like sand. In fluffy powder narrow or even skinny tires are great, they cut right through the snow. On my bike I have 1.95 Schwalbe Black Shark tires.

Of course...skinny tires are always better in those conditions brother...I was using 2.50 tires...but now, my three rigs are equiped with 2.35 and I've noticed a fair improvement in controling my bikes on those trails!
